QC 1. Take 10 minutes each month to inspect QC-12
tiles for fine cracks.
WHY? : Cracks could lead to loss of mixture pressure
and result in a single burner section failure.
QC 2. When rebuilding QC-12 burner sections, remove them
from the burner array manifold.
Why? : A) This allows for adequate room and light
for proper inspection of the castings for warpage.
B) This also enables proper and complete cleaning and removal
of the old gasket material necessary to allow for proper seating
of the new gasket and tile. The proper seating of the tiles
and gasket creates the seal which must be maintained so that
the air gas mixture exits the QC-12 tile ports uniformly and
at sufficient rate to maintain combustion on its surface.
